Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

1. Overview

These terms and conditions govern the provision of web design and related services by Cameron Web Solutions ("I", "me", "my") to the client ("you", "your"). By commissioning work from Cameron Web Solutions, you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

Cameron Web Solutions is a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

2. Quotations and Pricing

All prices quoted are in GBP and are inclusive of all costs unless otherwise stated. Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The standard Starter Website package is priced at £460 as a one-off payment. This covers the scope outlined in the package description on the website at the time of agreement. Any additional work beyond this scope will be quoted separately before being carried out.

3. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total project cost is required before any work begins. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project, before the website is made live.

Payment must be made via bank transfer or another method agreed upon in advance. If payment of the final balance is not received within 7 days of the completion notice, I reserve the right to take the website offline until full payment is received.

4. Project Scope and Agreement

Before work begins, both parties will agree on the project scope in writing. This includes the number of pages, the features to be included, and any specific requirements you have outlined. This written agreement forms the basis for the work to be carried out.

Any requests that fall outside the agreed scope will be treated as additional work and may be subject to additional charges and extended timescales. I will always notify you of any additional costs before proceeding.

5. Delivery Timescales

The website will be completed and made live within 7 days from the date the project scope is agreed and the deposit has been received, provided that all required content and materials have been supplied by you.

Any changes, additions, or revisions to the agreed scope may cause this 7 day timescale to be extended. I will keep you informed of any delays, but I cannot be held liable for delays caused by late supply of content, slow feedback, or scope changes requested by you.

If the project is delayed for more than 30 days due to a lack of communication or content from you, I reserve the right to consider the project complete and the final balance will become due immediately.

6. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing all text content, images, logos, and any other materials required for the website in a timely manner. If you would like me to write content or source images on your behalf, this may be quoted as additional work.

You are also responsible for ensuring that any content you provide does not infringe on any third party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. I accept no liability for content supplied by you.

7. Revisions and Amendments

The Starter Website package includes up to two rounds of revisions after the initial build is presented. A round of revisions means one set of collected feedback and changes, not ongoing back and forth adjustments.

Additional rounds of revisions beyond the included two may incur extra charges, which will be communicated to you in advance.

8. Intellectual Property and Ownership

Upon receipt of full and final payment, ownership of the completed website design and code transfers to you. Until full payment is received, all intellectual property rights in the work remain with me.

I retain the right to display the completed work in my portfolio and on my website as an example of my work, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.

Any third party assets used in the build, such as fonts, icons, or stock images, remain subject to their own respective licences.

9. Hosting and Domain

The fee for the website does not include hosting or domain registration unless specifically stated. I can advise on suitable hosting options, but you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining your own hosting and domain name.

If I assist with setting up hosting or domain registration on your behalf, the associated costs will be charged separately and the accounts will be registered in your name wherever possible.

10. Ongoing Maintenance

The website package does not include ongoing maintenance, updates, or support after delivery unless a separate maintenance agreement has been arranged. Any post-delivery changes or updates can be requested and will be quoted on a case by case basis.

11. Limitation of Liability

I will make every reasonable effort to ensure the website functions correctly and is delivered to a professional standard. However, I cannot guarantee that the website will be free from all errors or that it will be compatible with every browser, device, or platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the project in question.

I shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of business, or loss of data, whether arising from contract, negligence, or otherwise.

12. Cancellation and Refunds

If you wish to cancel the project before work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable but no further charges will apply.

If you wish to cancel after work has begun, you will be invoiced for all work completed up to the date of cancellation. This may include the full project cost if the website is substantially complete.

I reserve the right to cancel a project at any time if the working relationship becomes unworkable. In this case, you will only be charged for the work completed to date.

13. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive information shared during the course of the project. This includes business plans, financial information, login credentials, and any other information that is not publicly available.

14. Third Party Services

If the project involves integration with third party services such as Google Maps, contact form providers, analytics tools, or social media platforms, I cannot be held responsible for any changes, outages, or disruptions caused by those third party services.

15. Force Majeure

I shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing my obligations where that failure or delay results from circumstances beyond my reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, natural disasters, power outages, internet service failures, or government actions.

16. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally in the first instance. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

18. Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. The terms in effect at the time you agree to a project will apply for the duration of that project.
